Currency in Türkiye
The official currency is Turkish Liras. Exchange rates are published daily by Republic of Türkiye Central Bank. But widely used foreign currencies like Euro, Dollars and Pound are accepted in many shops and hotels of the city. Apart from this credit cards (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Diners Club etc.) can be used.
Climate
Istanbul has a climate that combines characteristics of both the Mediterranean and Black Sea types, with hot, dry summers and generally mild and pleasant spring and autumn seasons. In September, daytime temperatures typically range between 20 and 25 °C. The weather remains warm and comfortable, making it a favorable time for outdoor activities.

Standard time in Türkiye is GMT +3 and daylight saving time is permanently in practice during whole year.

The electrical supply in Türkiye is 220 V/50 Hz. Major hotels provide adapters and converters for guests.

There is a wide choice of restaurants in Istanbul offering a broad spectrum ranging from excellent national cuisine to first class international dishes. Some of the popuplar examples of Turkish cuisine are kebap, lahmacun, mantı, simit, baklava.
